The investment climate in Bahrain was termed as “attractive” and “encouraging” by business owners and investors during a recent meeting of the Bahrain-Bosnia-Herzegovina Friendship and Business Association.

They also highlighted that the total value of the Bahraini investments in Bosnia and Herzegovina now touches more than 200 million dollars.

The comments came as the President of Bahrain-Bosnia & Herzegovina for Friendship and Business Society BBHS, Jawad Al-Hawaj, held a dinner meeting last Thursday evening in Al-Hawaj Gardens. Al-Hawaj presented BBHS’ work plan and revealed plans for a Bahraini week in Bosnia and a Bosnian week in Bahrain.

“These meetings would provide the opportunity to shed light on many aspects of cultural and artistic cooperation and to highlight opportunities for joint investment,” he added. He also stressed the crucial role of the direct air connection between Bahrain and Bosnia, adding, “there are more than 20 Bahraini companies doing business in the Bosnian capital Sarajevo, especially in the real estate sector.”

Al-Hawaj also said he expects Bahrain to host more companies from Bosnia next year. The Vice-President of Bahrain-Bosnia & Herzegovina for Friendship and Business Society BBHS, Riyadh Yousuf, affirmed that the Society seeks an incubator environment in Bahrain to attract and launch Bosnian investments to the Arabian Gulf and the Arab region. He said also highlighted the many advantages Bahrain has, which include the strategic location. “This motivates all investors to develop their businesses through it,” he added.

The Chairperson of the Media and Public Relations Committee of the Bahrain-Bosnia-Herzegovina Friendship and Business Association, Suheir Bukhammas, and Chairperson of the Women’s Committee in the Society, Badriya Abdul Rahman, were present.
