The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain announced the relaunch of its signature Italian restaurant, also known as Primavera. The signature restaurant which will showcase a new Osteria Contemporanea concept is poised to add a new flavor to the hotel’s eclectic and ever-growing dining scene.
Led by new Executive Sous Chef, Heros de Agostinis, who oversees all the facets of the culinary operations while at the same time putting his signature on Primavera’s plates, the relaunch will take the restaurant’s high standards to the next level making it the talk of the town.
An impassioned leader and an ingenious chef with more than 20 years of experience in multi Michelin-starred restaurants and luxury hotels around the world, Heros will elevate the culinary experience at Primavera with a selection of refined dishes with authentic ingredients imported from Italy.
The new Primavera will unveil a refreshing gastronomic line-up that includes staples such as freshly made pasta as well as specialty dishes that spotlight an innovative take on Italian flavours.
Guests to the restaurant can relish creations including Pumpkin Risotto with white Alba truffle and star anise, Panzanella Toscana with grilled scallop and cucumber gazpacho, and Iced sphere of mango-passion fruit with Manjari chocolate and raspberry to cap off a beautiful meal.
“Italy has many different regions and each has its own distinct flavours and style of preparation. At Primavera, it is my ultimate goal to let diners gain great appreciation of this unique, diverse and authentic cuisine, promising a refined culinary experience to remember,” says Heros.
Chef Heros de Agostinis’ creative menu for Primavera is based on a reinterpretation of the Italian traditions. Creativity and refined inspiration are two of Heros’ signatures, and with the launch of this new concept, he will endeavor to discover a unique twist to Italian flavours.
Focusing on the high quality of the ingredients from Italy, his renowned cuisine will showcase the pleasures of Italian gastronomy without ever leaving the island. However, the dishes are far from the only things that catch the eye at the signature restaurant.
Italian for “Spring,” Primavera will entice diners with an inspiring décor which evokes an evergreen garden of freshness and simplicity – the perfect setting for the irresistibly delicious food.
The walls lend a touch of drama to the innate simplicity of the space with a silver embossed representation of Boticelli’s Primavera. Allusions to the iconic painting - featuring a beautiful Venus surrounded by eight divine figures – can be seen throughout the restaurant from gold carvings of the spring constellation through to the moss in the private dining room that is evocative of the green gardens of the painting.
Complemented by a terrace overlooking the beautiful resort and Arabian Gulf, Primavera will provide a natural backdrop for Heros to demonstrate his creative approach to Italian cuisine. In addition to the restaurant’s cuisine, wine connoisseurs will delight in Primavera’s bottle collection emphasizing Italian vintages selected especially to complement the menu.
The grape list features options by the glass, or by the bottle. While Primavera’s wine selection places special emphasis on presenting a broad and deep range from Italy, it also includes an extensive selection of wines from the rest of the world.
Rounding off the traditional experience is the Ritz-Carlton’s legendary service led by Giovan[1]na Bitongiari, Restaurant Manager, bringing to life the Osteria Contemporanea experience, where guests are completely immersed in Italian charm and flavours.
She describes Primavera as a “Little Italy, where refined Italian food is interpreted by highly regarded Italian chef, paired primarily with Italian vintages, and served on beautiful copper plates, by a dedicated team of Ladies and Gentlemen.” Primavera is open from Tuesday to Thursday, 12:30 pm – 3 pm for lunch and 7 pm – 11 pm for dinner; Friday and Saturday, 7 pm – 11 pm for dinner. Closed on Sunday and Monday.
