Tired of your broadband service? No need to worry.

You could now shift to another with minimal service disruption, all the while retaining the same number.

Making this possible is the new portability service for broadband internet launched by BNET.

BNET is the national network responsible for providing broadband network services across the Kingdom.

How to switch providers?

For this, customers can communicate directly with the new provider of choice to commence the transfer process.

The old provider will then invoice customers for all fees due until the date of transfer.

This streamlined process will contribute to creating effective and sustainable market competition between service providers, BNET said.

BNET said it is providing this process to the Telecommunications sector in the Kingdom, based on the requests received by the service providers.

Following the sector’s approval of the initiative, BNET started the implementation process in accordance with the time plan set.

Ahmed Jaber Aldoseri, CEO of BNET, said the portability process ensures the Kingdom’s Telecommunication sector’s competitiveness and market adaptability through facilitating and encouraging fair competition among local operators.

BNET said it will continue to work on enhancing this process with the aim of achieving a smooth transition with minimum disruption, “as we are very keen to provide the best services to improve and enhance the end-user experience.”
