Bahrain EWA executed projects worth BD21m in southwest coastal areas

The Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) had carried out projects worth more than BD21 million in the southwest coastal areas of Bahrain.
The projects included a BD20 million 220kv power station and other power and water projects.
“The projects cater to current and future needs”, said Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak.
The strategy falls in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Al Mubarak made the statement on the sidelines of the visit of Deputy Prime Minister and Mumtalakat Chairman Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to Bilaj Al Jazayer beach construction site of the five-star Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain Resort and Spa.
EWA Chief Executive Officer Shaikh Nawaf bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa was also present.
