Tamkeen has been awarded the international standard for Information Security Management (ISO 27001:2013 certification), after completing the requirements and obtaining official accreditation by the authorised ‘QCB Italia Magistratus & Proctor’.
“QCB Italia Magistratus & Proctor” is an international company accredited by ACCREDIA: The Italian Accreditation Body” and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF),” specializing in providing ISO standards implementation inspection, certification, and training.
This certification highlights Tamkeen’s continuous commitment to enhancing its governance and oversight of information security and risk management.
This achievement also reflects Tamkeen’s goal of instilling the necessary security measures to ensure the protection of the information it collects and its efforts in identifying new risks, assessing impact, and putting in place the necessary systems and controls to protect data and limit potential risk.
The ISO 27001:2013 certification, issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the largest global non-governmental body responsible for setting international standards, is recognized as the global standard for information security management.
To obtain certification, an independent body audits and evaluates all operations, including the monitoring and continuity of information security management systems, operational IT systems, and IT infrastructure.
Husain Mohamed Rajab, Chief Executive of Tamkeen said, “this is an important achievement for Tamkeen and is part of our strategy to continuously evolve comprehensive risk management, governance, and ensure compliance with regulations.
It reflects our full commitment to enforcing security procedures and highlights the strides we’ve made in our digital transformation journey.
We consistently monitor trends and updates related to the industry so that we can better serve our customers.”
He added, “this also reaffirms our efforts in strengthening our information security framework through the adoption of global standards of security management, especially as we introduce new processes for monitoring and managing customer data as part of our new programmes”.
