33 candidates are in Chamber poll fray

Thirty-three candidates will be contesting in the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) polls to elect the 30th Board of Directors.
The elections are scheduled to be held on March 19, 2022.
This was revealed yesterday by the Head of the Elections Committee, Adel Al Maskati.
He said the candidates meet all the conditions stipulated by Article (25) of Decree-Law (48) for the year 2012 and its amendments concerning the Chamber.
He announced that the list of candidates is available on the following URL https://bahrainchamber.bh/en/content/ elections2022 Al Maskati affirmed the committee’s pledge to ensure the proper conduct of the electoral process and the integrity and transparency of the election. He also extended his thanks to the Chamber’s administration for facilitating the work of the election committee.
The election committee had announced on 27th February 2022 the period for receiving applications for the Chamber’s board membership, which was from 3rd to 13th March 2022.
