Only Tojjar-22 can serve interests of businessmen representing all sectors: Mohammed Dadabhai

Leading businessman and Dadabhai Group Chairman Mohammed Dadabhai have emphasised the significance of upcoming elections at Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, citing the crucial role the body plays in the welfare of the trader and business community in Bahrain.

He hailed the electoral programmes of Tojjar-22 Bloc led by the incumbent Chairman of the Chamber Sameer Nass, terming them capable of contributing to the development of various sectors of the economy.

“Tojjar-22 Bloc is a comprehensive Bloc absolutely inclusive of all members of the business community, representing many sectors. It has economic expertise as well as active youth participation,” he said, adding that the Bloc presented integrated initiatives to protect and sustain all companies and firms operating in the Bahraini market.

The entrepreneurial doyen pointed out that the Bloc is aware of the changes in the Gulf region in terms of competitiveness in various fields.

“Tojjar-22 electoral agenda is based on strengthening consultations with authorities concerned in Bahrain to increase strategic projects in the tourism and industry sectors to increase the competitive opportunities of Bahrain regionally.”

Mr Dadabhai said that the incumbent leadership has succeeded in restoring the position of the Chamber in shaping the economic decision in co-operation with the legislative and executive authorities during the term and presented extensive realistic studies on the economic conditions in the Bahraini market in all sectors.

“The Bloc’s electoral programme is commensurate with the current economic conditions.” He explained that the formation of the Tojjar-22 Bloc is of great significance as it would present an effective force in the Chamber with its diverse expertise, youth and women representation.

“The next stage of economic development requires an influential voice from the part of traders for the benefit and interest of sustaining the national economy.” Mr Dada bhai said that Tojjar-22 enjoys excellent support from the trader community.

“It has taken active measures for partnerships, mergers, commercial acquisitions with major Gulf and international commercial institutions.” “The Chamber has put in best efforts to create an investment atmosphere leading to the creation of many projects and ventures while creating new job opportunities for qualified individuals.”

He highlighted the role of the Chamber as a consultative council with a chairman and board of directors that will influence governmental decision-making, carry out studies on market developments and bring out statistics for the betterment of the economy.

“The Bloc has been fulfilling its promises and I am certain that it will continue to fulfil its promises to the traders.” Mr Dadabhai urged all members of the Chamber to take part in the electoral process as it is one of the major economic drivers. “Once the election is over, all traders should unify under the umbrella of the board of directors to protect the gains of the community for the growth of entrepreneurial culture and economy despite many existing challenges.”
