Alba wins British Safety Council’s International Safety Award 2022

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) received the British Safety Council’s International Safety Award 2022 in recognition of its commitment to keeping its workforce safe and healthy in 2021.
“We are pleased to win again the prestigious International Safety Award by the British Safety Council as we stay on course to attain our objective in Safety and ESG,” Alba’s Chief Executive Officer Ali Al Baqali said.
“2021 was truly a golden year in many aspects as we went above and beyond to keep our human capital safe amidst the COVID-19 crisis and closed the year with more than 20 million safe working hours without Lost Time Injuries (LTI). Today, we are steering towards 24 million safe working hours without (LTI),” he added.
The International Safety Awards recognizes organizations from around the world, which have demonstrated their commitment to preventing workplace injuries and work-related ill-health during the previous year.
The awards also acknowledge organizations that have shown commitment to the well-being and mental health at work.
