Investment in young Bahraini leaders: KPMG’s Jassim Fakhro Professional Development Fund

Audit, Tax and Advisory firm, KPMG in Bahrain, reinforces its’ commitment towards the future generation of young Bahraini leaders as a part of their Jassim Fakhro Professional Development Fund programme.

The most recent batch of young Bahraini staff have successfully completed their professional qualifications in their respective fields with support from the programme.

Till date, the Jassim Fakhro Professional Development Fund have an alumni database of over 179 Bahrainis.

The programme, established in 2001 to honour Jassim Fakhro, the co-founder of KPMG in Bahrain, supports the professional development of young talented Bahrainis. It provides financial support, coupled with coaching and mentoring from experienced colleagues to help youth to pursue and complete the professional qualifications of their choice.

Ali Yusuf is an Audit Associate within the firm and is among the most recent batch graduates. On graduating with his CPA qualifications, he stated - “Passing the CPA examination is a milestone in my career that would not have been possible without the sponsorship of The Jassim Fakhro Fund Program for Professional Development.

While the programme identified and acknowledged my potential, experience and skills; it also helped me in accelerating my career in the fast track towards success.” Hussain AlMosawi, is an Assistant Manager within the Human Resource team, and has recently qualified with the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development (CIPD).

As a proud beneficiary of the Jassim Fakhro Fund, he stated - “I would like to thank KPMG in Bahrain for the support and contributions towards our continuous growth both personally and professionally. I am fortunate to be part of such a generous organization and I am grateful for the support the firm provides its people.”

Mooza Juma, is an Audit Associate with the firm who added - “The Fund programme provided me with all the support I needed to achieve my career goals. The professional journey in becoming a qualified ACCA graduate is relatively longer in comparison to other professional certificates. However, the firm’s relentless support without any imposition in terms of funding for the course cost, exam fees and annual subscriptions for us as employees has granted me with the much-needed time and moral support I required to clear all my exams. This milestone is a tremendous boost to my career progression.”

This was also echoed by Maher AlBimani another Audit Associate - “The support I received through the Fund programme played a vital role in helping me complete the Uniform CPA Examination. It made my journey towards achieving my qualifications easy and flexible through supporting me financially and providing me with the require support in terms of mentors, study leave, resources, etc.”
