Bahrain participates in World Travel Market expo
Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani has led the Bahraini delegation to the World Travel Market (WTM), which is being held in London from November 2 to 5.
The Bahrain Authority for Tourism and Exhibitions promotes the latest developments in tourism and hospitality sector and the latest of programmes, projects and activities of the Kingdom.
The Bahrain Authority for Tourism and Exhibitions has redesigned the Bahrain pavilion to match the identity of the Kingdom and its tourism components and allowed tourist companies to participate.
Fifteen travel agencies, hotels and others from Bahrain participated this year at the World Travel Market, which gives an opportunity for the participants to meet tourist institutions to discuss and fix business deals.
The Bahrain Authority for Tourism and Exhibitions, in cooperation with national carrier Gulf Air and Bahrain International Circuit and Elite Hotel Group, has also launched a daily competition at the Bahrain pavilion for businessmen and tourists to race at the Bahrain International Circuit via electronic vehicle. The winner will get a travel ticket and an entry ticket to Formula 1 with a stay in one of the Elite Hotel Groups.
The World Travel Market, a leading global event for the travel industry, is a vibrant must-attend business-to- business event, presenting a diverse range of destinations and industry sectors inn the UK and international travel professionals.
It also provides a unique opportunity for the whole global travel trade to meet, network, negotiate and conduct business. More than 50,000 senior travel industry professionals, government ministers and international press, visit the event.
