Banagas wins RoSPA “2022 Health and Safety award”

The Bahrain National Gas Company was recently awarded the “2022 Health and Safety Award for the Oil and Gas Industry Sector” from The Royal Society for Prevention of Accident (RoSPA) in the United Kingdom.
The award recognises the Company’s outstanding Health and Safety Performance from the 1st of January 2021 to the 31st of December 2021. RoSPA Awards are one of the most prestigious and recognised programmes world wide, with nearly 2,000 entries each year from 50 countries.
At a ceremony by RoSPA in the United Kingdom, Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Chief Executive, received the “Health and Safety Award for Oil and Gas Industry Sector” from Errol Taylor, RoSPA Chief Executive.
Dr Sh Mohammed said: “It is an outstanding achievement for the Company to be recognised on a global platform, and it is a testament to the employee’s work & commitment to the safety values, awareness, and full understanding of the significance of professional responsibility.
The safety approach is continuously practised in all of the Company’s facilities through a well-thought-out approach based on international standards developed by safety bodies such as The Royal Society for Prevention of Accidents in the United Kingdom, the British Safety Council, the GPA Midstream Association, and the National Safety Council in the United States of America.”
