Imad Abdel Khaleq to head AWRIS

The Bahrain Based Arab War Risks Insurance Syndicate (AWRIS) announced yesterday the appointment of Imad Abdel Khaleq as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Syndicate.
Ashraf Bseisu, Chairman of the Technical Committee, said: “Imad has vast expertise in the insurance and reinsurance industry regionally and internationally. He is no stranger to the Syndicate and has served in the past on its Technical Committee”.
“The Committee is confident of his abilities to guide further and develop the Syndicate in the current challenging market environment,” said Bseisu.
Abdel Khaleq welcomed the appointment and thanked the Technical Committee. “I am privileged to have been selected to lead the Syndicate,” said Abdel Khaleq.
Abdel Khaleq is a well-known seasoned professional with over 35 years of experience in the management of insurance and reinsurance firms, having held key executive positions at Munich Re and Jordan Insurance Company.
