Lifelong learning is a core commitment for KPMG in Bahrain and their initiative to develop and train the future generation of young leaders through their landmark ‘Hussain Kasim Professional Internship Program’ epitomises this commitment.
This year, over 70 interns were enrolled on the internship programme, of which KPMG offered 23% interns full-time positions with the firm. On average, the programme accommodates approximately 80 interns annually, with the key objective of supporting and nurturing young Bahraini students by training them on the job and providing them with real work experience to help them build the foundation of their careers.
The Hussain Kasim Professional Internship Programme is in honour of the co-founder of KPMG in Bahrain - Hussain Kasim. Prior to the partnership, Hussain Kasim was a well-respected teacher in the community, and he is still passionate and committed to supporting young Bahraini professionals.
The internship programme builds on his legacy and continues to provide learning opportunities to Bahraini students from leading international and local universities. A large group of interns have also progressed towards pursuing successful careers in organisations spanning a wide range of sectors and industries in the marketplace.
