Bahrain, Maldives for greater economic ties

Bahrain is keen to enhance its economic ties with the Maldives to boost bilateral relations, said Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, the Finance and National Economy Minister. While meeting Maldives Finance Minister Ibrahim Ameer and Minister of Environment, Climate Change and Technology Aminath Shauna, Shaikh Salman also discussed aspects of joint cooperation and coordination in addition to other issues of common interest.
Industry and Commerce Minister Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, Sustainable Development Minister Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif, Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Riyadh-based Maldives Ambassador to Bahrain Mohamed Khaleel and other officials were present.
The Minister of Finance and National Economy reviewed bilateral relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of the Maldives, noting joint cooperation in all fields. The Maldives delegation expressed sincere thanks to the Minister of Finance, hailing his continued keenness on supporting economic ties and wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
