Solidarity Bahrain, one of the largest insurance companies in Bahrain and a subsidiary of Solidarity Group Holding BSC, has obtained the ISO 22301:2019 certification recommended by Bureau Veritas and accredited by UKAS Management Systems.
This certificate confirms effective and robust incident response and recovery procedures for a quick recovery in the event of a disruption. The certification process included reviewing existing Business Continuity Plan (BCP), developing recovery strategy, aligning the company’s current processes with ISO 22301:2019 standard, and finally passing the extensive certification audit process. It is worth mentioning that Solidarity Bahrain is the first and only insurance company to obtain this certification in Bahrain.
The ISO 22301:2019 certificate demonstrates the company’s pledge in developing various strategic initiatives with an aim to ensure the continuity of all critical services, protect the business’s assets, customer data and reduce the risk of losses due to an incident or a disaster. Jawad Mohammed, CEO – Solidary Bahrain, stated: “This achievement will strengthen our ability to manage business disruptions and threats”. He also said: “Achieving the ISO 22301:2019 standard certifies that Solidarity Bahrain is operating within an ideal business continuity management framework, by having in place alternative contingencies and plans ensuring continuous and uninterrupted service delivery.”
The ISO 22301 certification is an international standard that provides a framework to build the capability necessary to respond to, recover form and operate effectively during the most challenging and unexpected circumstances.
