Saudi Arabia remains Bahrain’s first and top trade and economic partner, said Samir Abdulla Nass, highlighting the steady growth of bilateral ties despite the fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman said, “The volume of trade exchanges grew by 19% in 2021 to top $3.43 billion, up from $2.88 bn in 2020.”

Marking the 92nd Saudi National Day, he said the economic ties are fast growing, thanks to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

“This year’s Saudi National Day is celebrated amid promising economic shifts for the GCC peoples, which would reflect on the development of societies”, he said. Nass extended congratulations to the Saudi leadership and people, hailing long-standing solid fraternal relations binding the two brotherly countries. The BCCI chairman praised the establishment of the Bahrain-Saudi Business Council, hailing the pivotal standing of Saudi Arabia.
