BTEA launches revamped tourism mobile App

The Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has launched a revamped tourism app for tourists, citizens, and residents plan their tours and activities in Bahrain.

BTEA named the new guide “Bahrain” and launched it under the slogan “Your Ultimate Guide to Explore Bahrain”.

The app is available for download from Google Play or the App Store.

The app includes a directory of restaurants, hotels and places of interest and has an itinerary feature that helps tourists organise their holiday programme around their interests.

Furthermore, the app provides a platform for licensed Bahraini tour guides, allows tourists to contact tour guides, and highlights their profiles.

“The timing of the launch is significant, as we enter a busy tourist season, driven by various events such as the debut of Exhibition World Bahrain, the Jewellery Arabia exhibition, the Bahrain Grand Prix, and the Air Show, amongst many others,” said Dr Nasser Qaedi, CEO of BTEA.

“We encourage the private sector and event organisers to work more closely with BTEA to incorporate information and updates on activities and initiatives on the app,” Dr Qaedi added.
