50 Al Noor School students make recycling trip to Ritz-Carlton Hotel

In a continuation of the community partnership between Al Noor International School and the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Bahrain, 50 Grade 4 students from the school’s British Primary Department attended a workshop organised by the hotel on the importance of effective, efficient recycling.
The students received a warm welcome on arrival at the 5-star hotel, after which talks and practical demonstrations were held in its elegant meeting rooms.
The Grade 4 students, who are taking part in a year-long environmental project at school, learnt how the hotel recycles it plastic, paper and food waste as part of their drive to reduce carbon emissions, and also how to use used plastic creatively to create plant holders and pencil pots and other household items.
Both students and staff enjoyed the program greatly and will use the information learnt when back in school to set up a recycling project of their own.
