German Ambassador Clemens Hach, who recently presented his credentials to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, addressed the diplomatic ties with the Kingdom in a press conference held yesterday at the Diplomatic Radisson Blu Hotel.

The Kingdom of Bahrain is his sixth posting in a foreign country following his services in Latin America, United States, and East Africa and at the headquarters of the German Federal Foreign Office as the head of the Stabilisation Division.

Speaking at the press conference, Clemens Hach said, “Germany has consistently ranked among Bahrain’s top EU commercial partners, and the numbers have grown over time. The amount of trade between Bahrain and Germany has reached above EUR 620 million. We are clearly looking at Bahrain’s development goals in the financial, clean energy, and tourist industries.”

“Germany is well-known throughout the world for its premium automotive brands, which have risen to the top of the list of imported goods. While this is one of the main goods, there are a ton of other lesser-known ones, particularly in the industrial, chemical, steel, and logistical sectors.
