Dr Nasser Qaedi, the CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, thanked His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his patronage of the inauguration of the Middle East’s newest exhibition & convention centre 'Exhibition World Bahrain' in the Sakhir, as well as His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the opening.

Dr Qaedi asserted that the Exhibition World Bahrain in Sakhir will strengthen Bahrain's position as a regional pioneer in the MICE industry.

“Hosting largest regional and international expos and conventions will contribute to achieving the goals of the tourism strategy 2022–2026 within the Economic Recovery Plan.”

Dr Qaedi said the new facility would add significant value to the investment ecosystem and boost the contribution of the tourism sector to the national economy.

“This will have a tangible impact on revitalising tourism, aside from its distinct design as a one-of-a-kind architectural structure inspired by Bahrain's long history.”

“We are looking forward to an eventful season filled with large functions from various industries," Dr Qaedi added.

The Exhibition World Bahrain has a total area of 308,700 square meters with ten exhibition halls of varying ceiling heights and a total area of 95,000 square meters, each with its own technical services and storage space, as well as independent exits and entrances.

The facility also features a grand hall with a 400-4,000 seat capacity, 95 meeting rooms, 20 translation booths, 14 organiser’s offices, 3 majlis, 8 chorus and dressing rooms, 3 bridal suites and 25 restaurants, cafes and retail experiences.
