Bank ABC backs Shamsaha Women’s Centre on Bahraini Women’s Day

Bank ABC, MENA’s leading international bank, along with its digital, mobile-only retail arm, ila Bank, commemorated Bahraini Women’s Day 2022 by pledging financial support towards the initiatives of the Shamsaha Women’s Centre.
In its sixth year, the Bahrain-based non-profit corporation, Shamsaha focuses on empowering and protecting women subjected to abuse through the first, full-scale 24/7 women’s crisis response programme in the Middle East.
Bank ABC’s Acting Group CEO, Sael Al Waary, hosted an inspiring breakfast session for staff featuring Mary-Justine Todd, Shamsaha’s founder, who spoke about the organisation’s role in supporting and amplifying the potential of all women.
She also explained how women could volunteer and serve as advocates of this cause.
Al Waary noted, “Seeing our female leaders, who play a critical role in the growth and progression of our organisation, gathered on the occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day, fills me with great pride and appreciation.
