iGA showcases Digital Services and Initiatives at AICS 2022

The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) showcased a range of digital initiatives and services during the Arab International Cybersecurity Summit 2022 (AICS), held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Held under the theme ‘Empowering Global Cooperation in Cybersecurity’, the event took place at Exhibition World Bahrain in Sakhir from 6th to 8th December 2022. The iGA highlight its role in embracing technology and supporting digital transformation in the Kingdom of Bahrain at the exhibition held on the sidelines of the summit.

This included initiatives related to the digital policies, eServices and eChannels development as well as the achievements related to ICT, and Digital Economy Strategy (2022-2026). The iGA’s booth was divided into several section, including one for digital channels and eServices, which reached 572 eServices available to the public via the National Portal, bahrain.bh and mobile apps downloadable from the eGovernment Apps Store, bahrain.bh/apps.

Other sections were on the National Data and Statistics, Building Permit Portal (Benayat), and new Self-Service Kiosks. Numerous other exhibitors from Bahrain and abroad took part in the event, including representatives from the government, cybersecurity, industrial, financial services, insurance, oil, gas, & energy, IT & telecommunications, and education sectors.
