This is their best sellerA seafood meal consisting of soup, cold or hot appetisers, a main course, sides, and dessert.

I decided to go for the Tom Yum soup, Gulf shrimp salad, breaded shrimp and calamari, lobster thermidor, spicy grilled baby hamour and spicy grilled tiger prawns and for sides, a plate of French fries.

I also selected a few other items, such as grilled salmon with lemon garlic sauce.

Beginning with the tom yum soup, the flavour profile was just perfect.

The spicy kick from the red chillies and galangal, the tartness from the spritz of lime juice, balanced with salty notes from the fish sauce, is what this soup is all about.

There was a good variety of seafood in the soup- calamari, shrimp and crabs along with tiny pieces of mushrooms and chopped tomato contributing to the wholesomeness of the soup.

The Gulf shrimp salad comprises a combination of shrimp, assorted salad leaves, red onions, avocado and tomato.

They added calamari to the salad for a special touch. The shrimps and calamari were tender, salad leaves were crisp and fresh, ripe avocado added a creaminess to the salad.

Tomatoes added a tartness that paired well with the sharp zing of the red onions.

The salad was dressed in a vinaigrette that tied all the ingredient s into one flavourpacked bite.

The hot appetisers arrived piping hot.

Beautiful, golden-breaded shrimp and calamari were served with sweet chilli sauce on one of the finestlooking porcelain platter.

They were tender and well-seasoned, with a crunchy exterior. After a glass of refreshing watermelon juice, it was time for the main course.

The seafood platter was delightful.

The seafood was cooked perfectly, and each item was well seasoned and marinated to bring out the best flavours.

The baby hamour was grilled beautifully, tender, flaky fish with salt, pepper, garlic, lemon juice and a bit of chilli for a spicy kick.

Tiger prawns were marinated in a spicy red marinade and grilled. It was such a treat! I was impressed with the lobster thermidor.

The lobster arrived in its shell with a luscious sauce prepared with heavy cream and parmesan cheese. This lobster preparation is highly recommended. Everything paired perfectly with the French fries and accompanying sauces- lemon garlic butter, tahini sauce and peri-peri.

I liked the complexity of the flavours in the periperi sauce. For desserts, I had to try the chocolate mousse and strawberry cheesecake. The chocolate mousse was scrumptious. It was rich and creamy with a semisweet chocolate flavour and paired well with the chocolate sauce. The fresh strawberries cut through the richness of the chocolate.

A cup of hot green tea was the perfect ending to this delightful experience. With the long weekend coming up, it is ideal to spend an afternoon at La Perle relaxing and enjoying the beautiful, tranquil view and a satisfying seafood meal.
