Alba closes 2022 with a record-breaking production of 1,600,111 MT

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), one of the world’s largest aluminium smelters, has set a new historic production record of 1,600,111 metric tonnes (MT) in 2022 -- an increase of 38,889 MT versus 1,561,222 MT in 2021 (+2.5% Year-on-Year), as announced by the Company today 03 January 2023.
“This all-time production record translates our motto ‘opportunities don’t happen, we create them by doing the best we can with what we have’.
We also look forward to set new highs in the future driven by our in-house production creep,” Alba’s Chief Executive Officer, Ali Al Baqali, said.
A special ceremony, attended by the Executive Management, Directors, Managers and employees from various departments, was held at Alba’s Product Yard to mark this achievement.
