BENEFIT now ‘part of life’, says Al Maraj

Rasheed Mohammed Al Maraj, the Governor of the Central Bank, has hailed BENEFIT as “part of our life”. “We have a very ambitious strategy primarily focused on fintech Digital transformation, and without BENEFIT, I think we will not be able to achieve this vision,” said Al Maraj.

The top banker said this as he opened the Fintech and electronic financial transactions service provider’s new Manama office facility.

The Central Bank, Al Maraj said, is ready to accept new suggestions and ideas about Fintech and electronic financial transactions, which will be helpful to achieve BENEFIT’s future goals.

Speaking to The Daily Tribune, The Governor said that “BENEFIT is a success story for the Bahrain, Central Bank and Banking community. We are working with BENEFIT to bring great service to the business community and society.”

The BENEFIT Company was formed to enable the financial sector in Bahrain to forge strong and lasting connections with their customers from across a wide geographical base.

The Chairman of BENEFIT said: “Our company is now focusing on not a cashless society but a paperless society, and also all banking activities as well government services should be synchronized with friendly technology. Now we are now allies with the government thinking as well.”
