Bahrain Flour Mills says aims production capacity rise by year end, holds AGM

Bahrain Flour Mills Company (Al-Matahin) said it is on track to complete the expansion of its mill by the end of this year.
The plans focus on increasing the production capacity by adopting the latest flour manufacturing technology, Al-Matahin Management said during its Annual General Meeting at the Awal Ballroom Gulf Hotel yesterday.
The Board of Directors and Executive Management stated that the objective of the expansion is to develop and broaden the company's activities to ensure that it is well-positioned to serve the Kingdom in the coming years.
Speaking to The Daily Tribune, Marwan Khaled Tabbara, the chairman of Al-Matahin Company, said the expansion works are currently ongoing at the Mina Salman site, and the company is also exploring the possibility of establishing a new site that aligns with the Kingdom's vision for the next 20-30 years.
Tabbara further added that the company is prepared to tackle any challenges that may arise in the industry and provide uninterrupted services to Bahrain.
“Whatever the challenges come to the industry we are ready to provide uninterrupted service to Bahrain."
Al-Matahin reported a net profit of BD 1,422,601, as sales volume increased by 7%, and sales revenue increased by 11%.
