Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa named Mumtalakat CEO

Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat) has appointed Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa as its Chief Executive Officer, effective May 1st, 2023.
The appointment is as per an edict issued by the HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The edict also named Khalid Al Rumaihi as a member of the company’s Board of Directors.
Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, welcomed the appointment Expressing gratitude for his appointment to Mumtalakat’s Board of Directors, Al Rumaihi thanked His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman for the opportunity to serve as a member of Team Bahrain.
Shaikh Abdullah brings over 20 years of experience in the Banking and Financial services industry to Mumtalakat, having held various roles of increasing responsibility at several companies in the Kingdom and abroad.
He serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Osool Asset Management and as the Chairman of Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco) since June 3rd, 2018. He also holds the position of Chairman of SICO Investment Bank, a Board Member of Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait since March 2nd, 2008, and a Board Member of Amanat Holding in the UAE.
In addition to these roles, Shaikh Abdullah has also served as the Head of the Wealth Management Department at “Standard Chartered Bank” in Bahrain and as a Credit Analyst at the “Arab Banking Corporation”. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from George Washington University in the United States of America.
