Bahrain Chamber & IMF meeting highlights jobs, investment focus

Bahrain’s commitment to developing policies that foster investment and create high-quality jobs was highlighted during a meeting between the Bahrain Chamber and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) yesterday.
Khalid Najibi, the First Vice-Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, also emphasised the collaborative efforts with the government to boost trade, facilitate investment, and exchange experiences with countries worldwide.
The comments were made during a meeting attended by a delegation from the IMF, led by Asmaa Al-Janaini.
During the meeting, Najibi discussed the private sector’s endeavours in driving the national economy and attracting significant investment projects.
He acknowledged the government’s provision of financial support packages, which played a vital role in equipping the private sector with the necessary resources to navigate the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
In turn, Al-Janaini commended the Bahraini government for launching incentive initiatives and implementing a fiscal balance program that sustains economic growth.
