Al Malaki Specialist Hospital partners with Oxford University Hospital NHS Trust

Al Malaki Specialist Hospital announced its collaboration with orthopaedic experts from Oxford University Hospital NHS Trust in the United Kingdom.
The official launch programme took place yesterday at the hospital, with representatives from the UK & Greece Embassies, the Undersecretary from the Ministry of Education, and other guests, under the patronage of Dr Mariam Al-Jalahma, the CEO of NHRA.
As part of the collaboration, Al Malaki Specialist Hospital will host two orthopaedic doctors from Oxford University on May 16th and 17th.
The hospital expressed confidence that this partnership will yield significant benefits for both institutions and contribute to the advancement of healthcare in the region.

Al Malaki Specialist Hospital stated that, as part of the launch, it is offering second opinion consultations with the Oxford experts, with scheduled appointments for over 100 patients.
The visiting doctors from Oxford University Hospital are: Dr Duncan Whitwell - Consultant Hip/Knee & Oncology Surgeon: Dr. Whitwell specialises in the treatment of hip/ knee and oncology disorders.
He serves as an NHS Consultant at Oxford University NHS Trust and the Manor Hospital, Oxford.
Additionally, he holds the position of Senior Clinical Lecturer at Oxford University and organizes annual arthroplasty and oncology courses.
Dr Whitwell frequently hosts visiting surgeons and provides support for complex reconstructive surgeries globally.
Dr Chris Little - Consultant Hand & Upper Limb Surgeon: Dr. Little brings extensive expertise in surgical procedures of the hand and upper limb.
His specialist practice focuses on shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand musculoskeletal disorders.
Dr. Little offers various treatments for conditions such as Carpal tunnel and Cubital tunnel syndrome.
He is an expert in arthritis treatments, including joint-preserving and replacements for fingers, thumbs, wrists, elbows, and shoulders.
Additionally, he specialises in the treatment of upper limb fractures, particularly the wrist, and performs arthroscopic surgeries for shoulder, elbow, and wrist.
Dr. Little has also pioneered local anaesthetic treatment options for numerous hand and wrist conditions.
