Chinese Ambassador visits BNET, explores unified Telecommunications Network

Ni Ruchi, the Chinese Ambassador to Bahrain paid a visit to Bahrain Network (BNET) headquarter in Hamala on Wednesday and reviewed its progress and achievements in the implementation of the national telecommunications objectives.
BNET’s CEO, Ahmed Jaber Aldoseri, and executive management briefed the envoy and his delegation on the expansion of fibre coverage, the deployment of 5G networks, connectivity to international cable systems, and other wholesale communications services meeting international standards.
During the meeting, BNET showcased its achievements, including extensive fibre coverage across Bahrain, and strategic partnerships, and provided a tour of its Service Management Centre and Network Operations Centre. Ni Ruchi emphasised the importance of strengthening cooperation, particularly in the field of information and communications technologies.
Aldoseri commented,” We are honoured by His Excellency the Ambassador’s visit, which allowed the Ambassador to learn more about BNET’s strategy, achievements, and future goals that revolves around harnessing our capabilities to provide a reliable and supportive infrastructure to establish a smart and secure communications network in the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
Bahrain’s unique model of establishing a separate entity for communications infrastructure has gained international recognition, attracting delegations from various countries who visit BNET to learn about its experience and policies in managing the national telecommunications network.
