Bapco chairman receives Safety Award from British Safety Council

The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), an operating company under the umbrella of Bapco Energies, has won an International Safety Award with Distinction from the British Safety Council in recognition of its commitment to the safety and wellbeing of its workforce throughout 2022.

On receiving the award, Abdulla Jehad Al Zain, Bapco Chairman, paid tribute to the Board of Directors and the approved policies and procedures that have been adopted in setting the best standards of occupational health and safety at the Company’s premises and operational facilities.

Bapco’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr Abdulrahman Jawahery, received a delegation from the British Safety Council headed by Phil Pinnington, Head of Audit and Consultancy and Nusrat Khan, Strategic Account Manager (UK and International).

The British Safety Council delegation congratulated Bapco on its success in winning the International Safety Award with a Distinction and the “Best in Country” award in recognition of its commitment to zero harm at the workplace to ensure the safety of its employees and contractors.
