New medical equipment on way for Multiple Sclerosis Hospital

Yousuf Mahmood Husain has secured a contract from the Government Hospitals to supply additional medical equipment for the newly opened Multiple Sclerosis Hospital in Busaiteen.
The awarded contract, based on the re-tender, stipulates that the vendor must deliver and install the units within eight weeks. A previous tender to buy equipment for the hospital, according to Government Hospitals, had turned unsuccessful.
The Multiple Sclerosis Hospital in Busaiteen is Bahrain's first specialised and independent facility dedicated to treating patients with Multiple Sclerosis. According to the tender board document, the value of the awarded tender amounts to BD 24,728,000.
During the tender process, which took place on December 27, 2021, there were a total of six bidders, including Yousuf Mahmood Husain. The bids submitted by the various vendors ranged from BHD 7,518,150 to BHD 415,000,000.
Other bidders in the process were General Medicals, Gulf Pharmacies, Gulf House Medical System, WSell flow Gulf Trading, and Wael Pharmacy. The construction of the hospital, valued at BD 1.7 million, was awarded to Yousef Al Zayani Trading and Contracting Company.
Adel Ahmadi Associates Company, an engineering consultancy based in Manama, was responsible for designing and supervising the consulting scheme.
The Multiple Sclerosis Hospital is equipped with seven outpatient clinics, MRI diagnosis wards, physiotherapy, and manual exercise therapy facilities, private and public treatment rooms, a laboratory, a pharmacy, a scientific research center, a lecture hall, medical warehouses, a service building, administrative offices, and parking lots.
