KPMG in Bahrain recently hosted an event to welcome over 25 interns as a part of their ‘Hussain Kasim Professional Internship programme’ as part of an annual program.

Including the newest batch of 25 interns, the firm has onboarded a total of 47 young professionals so far this year. It is expected to receive a total of 75 interns by the end of the current financial year.

Jamal Fakhro, Managing Partner of KPMG in Bahrain, said, “We truly believe that it is through the cultivation of young talent that we can build a vibrant, sustainable, and prosperous future for the Kingdom."

The Hussain Kasim Professional Internship programme was established to offer students the chance to gain practical work experience and learn while working as a part of the firm’s professional teams in audit, advisory, and tax functions.

The program is named after Hussain Kasim, a co-founder of KPMG in Bahrain and a highly respected teacher in the community who was passionate about supporting young professionals through lifelong learning opportunities. The programme aims to select and accommodate 50-80 university students each year, as with previous years.
