Trafco Group announces second quarter, H1 profits

Trafco Group has reported a Profit for the period attributable to the shareholders of BD 501000 for the second quarter of 2023 as against BD 339000 compared to the second quarter of previous year, with an increase of 48%.

The basic and diluted earnings per share for the second quarter of the 2023 were 7 fils compared to 5 fils during the second quarter of previous year. The total comprehensive income related to Trafco Group shareholders for the second quarter of 2023 BD 534000 compared to BD 264000 of the second quarter of previous year with an increase of 102 %.

Ebrahim Zainal, Chairman of Trafco Group stated that the increase in the net profit for the second quarter of 2023 was mainly due to better performance of group investments portfolio and positive contribution of subsidiary companies.

For the half year of 2023, the group achieved Profit for the period attributable to the shareholders of BD 1.38 million compared with BD 1.15 millpon in the same period of previous year, with an increase of 20%.

The basic and diluted earnings per share for the half year of 2023 were 19 fils compared with 16 fils in the same period of previous year. The total comprehensive income related to Trafco Group shareholders for the half year of 2023 of BD 1.68 million compared to BD 1.98 million of the same period of previous year, with a decrease of 15%.

The total shareholders’ equity (excluding minority interests) during the half year of 2023 was BD 28.92 million compared with BD 28.36 nmillion as end of last year, with an increase of 2%. The total assets during the half year of 2023 were BD 54.14m compared to BD 52.79 millook as end of last year, with an increase of 3 %.
