Bahrain Chamber discusses investment opportunities with Iraqi Charge d’Affairs

Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber Sameer Nass discussed enhancing trade and investment between Bahrain and Iraq, during his meeting with Iraqi Charge d’Affairs Abdulsalam Saddam Muhaisen, yesterday at the Chamber’s headquarters in Sanabis.

Speaking at the meeting, Nass emphasized the current state of trade between Bahrain and Iraq, expressing a shared sentiment that it falls short of their ambitious goals.

He called upon both parties to seize the available business and investment prospects in light of the untapped potential.

Nass acknowledged the keen interest of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in strengthening their business ties with Iraq, which signifies a collective endeavor to foster mutually beneficial relationships and explore new avenues for collaboration.

Iraqi Charge d’Affairs Abdulsalam Saddam Muhaisen commended the deep-rooted bilateral relations between Iraq and Bahrain.

He called local business owners and investors to delve into the investment opportunities that Iraq has to offer, emphasizing the potential for growth in sectors such as oil, infrastructure, and real estate.

The meeting was attended by Bahrain Chamber’s Vice Treasurer Waleed Kanoo, board members Yousuf Salahuddin and Abdulwahab Al Hawaj, and acting CEO Atef Al Khaja.
