New Horizon School marks Gandhi Jayanti

The New Horizon School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti, commemorating the 154th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of India, in both the Zinj and Segayya campuses.

A special assembly was organised by the Social Studies department, where School Chairman, Joy Mathews, and Principal, Vandana Sateesh, along with the students and teachers paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi.

The school premises were decorated with quotes of Mahatma Gandhi and posters framed by the students under the theme ”Gandhian Ideals – A Timeless Legacy”, emphasizing his principles of truth and non-violence.

A series of events were organised to mark the occasion including a skit portraying Gandhian philosophy.

The Chairman addressed the gathering by highlighting the significant events from the life of Gandhi and the value of peace and harmony in life.

The Principal, in her felicitation, reminded the students about the values of truth, non-violence, and simplicity that were dear to Mahatma Gandhi and urged the students to incorporate these values in their lives.

The program was followed by the prize distribution ceremony for the students who secured prominent positions in the Poster-Making competition, held on September 18th, 2023.

The certificates and trophies were awarded to the winners by all the dignitaries.
