NBB and BisB win at BCI Middle East Awards

NBB Group, comprising of the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) and Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB), has been recognised at the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) Middle East Awards 2023 for the fourth year running.

Two NBB Group employees received individual awards at the virtual ceremony, which took place on the 31st of August.

NBB & BisB have achieved notable success at the BCI Awards in recent years with the Group having won the ‘Collaboration in Resilience’ Middle East award in 2021 while last year, the Group’s Continuity and Resilience team was named as the best in the Middle East (and globally).

This year, NBB & BisB put their employees forward for the best ‘professional’ and best ‘newcomer’ awards to showcase their progress in their Business Continuity Management (BCM).

Abdulla Naqi, NBB’s In-Business Risk and Control and BCM Manager, won best ‘Continuity and Resilience Professional (Private Sector)’ for his outstanding leadership and contributions to the development and enhancement of the programme, while Hassan Yusuf, BisB’s Information Security Analyst, won the ‘Continuity and Resilience Newcomer’ award for demonstrating his potential and dedication.

NBB Group said it is proud to be recognised among the industry for the professionalism of its BCM team while the accomplishments of Abdulla Naqi and Hasan Yusuf, reflect the strength of the BCM programme, which is central to the Group’s strategic operational resilience initiatives.
