Bapco Energies hosts group-wide event for Bahrain Women’s Day

Bapco Energies marked Bahraini Women’s Day with a special event that brought together the entire female workforce from across the group.

Speaking at the event, Mark Thomas, Group Chief Executive Officer, Bapco Energies, said, “At Bapco Energies, we are committed to fostering a workplace that celebrates diversity, inclusivity, and equality, in alignment with the National 2030 Vision.”

The event also featured a session titled “Discovering Collaboration and Teamwork to Thrive in an Evolving Landscape,” which highlighted the pivotal role of women in an evolving workplace, emphasising Bapco Energies’ commitment to inclusivity and showcasing the significant contributions of women in advancing sustainability goals.

The event was held in line with the official Bahraini Women’s Day theme, as set by the Supreme Council of Women: 'Read, Learn, Participate'. Demonstrating its enduring commitment, Bapco Energies took a significant step last year in celebrating Bahraini Women’s Day.

The company announced the establishment of a group joint commission for equal opportunities and gender balance. In conjunction, Bapco Energies, along with its subsidiary companies, pledged to endorse and implement the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) initiative, reaffirming commitment to championing gender equality and empowering women with the organisation.
