LuLu Group sends relief aid to Gaza

Demonstrating solidarity and humanitarian spirit, prominent retail conglomerate, LuLu Group, has extended a helping hand to the people of Gaza by dispatching vital relief materials. The first tranche of aid, comprising 50 tons of essential supplies, including food products, medicines, and hygiene items, was officially handed over to the Egypt Red Crescent authorities in a solemn ceremony held in Cairo yesterday.
Dr. Rami El Nasser, the Chief Executive Officer of the Egypt Red Crescent, graciously accepted the aid on behalf of the organization from key representatives of LuLu Group, including Lulu Egypt and Bahrain Director Juzer Rupawala, Regional Director Husefa Qureshi, and LuLu Egypt Marketing Manager Hatim Sayeed.
The Egypt Red Crescent authorities will facilitate the distribution of these crucial items in Arish town, utilizing the Al Rafah border. Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Rami El Nasser warmly welcomed the initiative and acknowledged LuLu Group’s Chairman Yusuff Ali for the timely support extended to the people of Palestine.
Altruistic endeavour
This altruistic endeavour is not an isolated effort by LuLu Group. The conglomerate is a significant contributor to the UAE’s “Tarahum for Gaza” relief campaign. Furthermore, LuLu Group has established dedicated aid centres within various Lulu hypermarkets to collect and dispatch diverse relief materials in collaboration with Emirates Red Crescent.
Beyond regional boundaries, LuLu Group is actively engaged in collaborative efforts with humanitarian agencies from other Gulf countries, fostering similar initiatives aimed at providing relief to those in need.
In a recent demonstration of its commitment, LuLu Group Bahrain generously donated BD25,000 (approximately AED250,000) to the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, in support of the Bahrain National Campaign. This underscores LuLu Group’s unwavering dedication to alleviating the suffering of communities facing adversity, both within the region and beyond.
