Huawei executives hail Bahrain’s business-friendly environment, digital advancements

A top Huawei executive commended Bahrain for its competitive and business-friendly environment during a meeting yesterday with the Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Sameer Nass.

Aziz Tang, the Chief Executive Officer of Huawei Technologies-Bahrain, expressed admiration for Bahrain’s impressive pace of advancement and development. He further discussed the company’s ongoing and upcoming projects in Bahrain and the broader region.

The meeting took place at Sameer Nass’s office in the Chamber’s premises and included Huawei’s Account Director Dongnan ‘Jacky’ Shao and Managing Director Li Haiyun. Also in attendance were Bahrain Chamber’s Second Vice-Chairman Mohammed Al Kooheji, Vice-treasurer Waleed Kanoo, and Head of the Technology and Digital Economy Committee Alharith Alatawi.

Sameer Nass highlighted Huawei’s significant role in Bahrain’s digital transformation and technological advancement, praising the company’s global ranking and its commitment to fostering innovation and creativity.

Aziz Tang emphasized Huawei’s noteworthy achievements in industrial research and development investment, revealing the company’s fourth position globally in Q1 2023 and its fifth position in the global cloud services market.
