NBB receives ‘Best Savings Account’ award in Bahrain

National Bank of Bahrain’s (NBB) Express Savers Account was named ‘Best Savings Account’ at the Banker Middle East Bahrain Product Awards 2015.

NBB was selected to received the award based on an online survey conducted by the magazine in which Industry representatives voted for the best products, with prizes going to the products with the highest number of votes.

Abdul Aziz Al Ahmed, General Manager, Domestic Banking Group, accepted the award at a special function, held at the NBB Head Office in Manama, from Robin Amlot, Chief Executive Officer of CPI Financial, the publisher of Banker Middle East and other industry publications.

“This award is a recognition of the Bank’s commitment to adding value to its products and services, and to offering its customers the best,” Al Ahmed said at the presentation.

“As Bahrain’s national bank, we care a great deal about the wellbeing of the country’s citizens and economy, so we do our part by promoting the habit of saving for the future; Express Savers is an ideal vehicle for this. We pledge to continue to develop services that satisfy our customers’ long term objectives,” Al Ahmed added.

NBB’s Express Savers account comes with a range of innovative benefits, including free on-line banking facilities through multiple channels, such as Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and ATMs.

It also offers an international Debit Card that can be used for shopping at millions of retailers worldwide. Account holders get automatically included in the Bank’s flagship Al Watani Savings draw if they maintain the prescribed minimum balance, without having to purchase certificates or open special accounts. This year the campaign has been offering customers mega prizes, including Luxury SUVs and US$100,000 in cash, in addition to daily cash prizes of US$5,000.
