NBB receives two prestigious awards

The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) recently received two prestigious awards by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development at the 38th Annual Appreciation Ceremony for Distinguished Employees and Outstanding Entities of the Private Sector.

NBB was honoured for its eagerness and highest commitment towards its promise of nurturing Bahraini talent as well as enabling their learning, development, and career growth in addition to boosting their opportunities within the banking industry.

The Group Chief Human Resources Officer, Sarah Abdulaziz Jamal, and other members of NBB’s Human Resources & Talent Development team represented the Bank at the ceremony, alongside NBB employees Yousif Rashed AlQooti and Zuhair Mahmood Yousif, who were each honoured at the event as ‘Distinguished Employees in the Banking Sector.’

The award is a testament to their unwavering commitment to excellence, recognises their outstanding contribution to the banking industry, and their leadership qualities and exemplary commitment to fostering a positive collaborative work environment for over 20 years.

NBB was also recognised as a top-ranking organisation in the employment of young local talents and in enhancing national competencies.

The Bank proudly boasts a high Bahrainisation rate as a result of its efforts, which support establishing a highly skilled and capable workforce in line with the Kingdom’s Economic Vision 2030.

Moreover, NBB was acknowledged for its impactful contribution to the Ministry of Labour and Social Development’s training programme for job seekers, ‘Foras’, which aims to train fresh graduates and drive the growth of the Kingdom’s workforce.

NBB’s ‘Thrive’ programme reflects the Bank’s role as a national enabler dedicated to elevating the potential of young Bahrainis to further increase the national employment rate.

The training programme ensures young talented individuals gain the necessary experience and skillsets through engaging with various industry experts.
