Bahrain Chamber and Egyptian Minister of Industry and trade collaborate to boost bilateral trade

In a significant step towards strengthening economic ties between Bahrain and Egypt, Sameer Nass, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held a crucial meeting with the Egyptian Minister of Industry and Trade, H.E. Ahmed Sameer, at the Chamber’s premises yesterday.

During the meeting, Chairman Sameer Nass emphasized the longstanding and robust relationship between Bahrain and Egypt, extending across various levels.

He expressed pride in the presence of Bahraini businesses in Egypt, particularly in the banking and real estate sectors, and highlighted the reciprocal presence of Egyptian businesses in Bahrain.

Nass urged the exploration of opportunities in vital sectors such as food security and medicine security.

The Egyptian delegation, led by H.E. Minister Ahmed Sameer and accompanied by Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain Reham Mohammed Khalil, engaged in discussions with several board members of the Bahrain Chamber.

The meeting focused on the importance of the Integrated Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development and its potential impact on member states within the Arab region.

The leaders underscored the significance of capitalizing on this ambitious project to achieve sustainable industrial growth, enhance economic development, and foster self-sufficiency.

Recognizing the role of the private sector as pivotal in driving economic growth, the meeting also highlighted the importance of fostering collaboration between the Bahraini and Egyptian business communities.

This collaboration will involve the exchange of visits and the organization of joint business functions.
