Bahrain Chamber launches “Jadara” Award for SMEs

Registration for the inaugural “Jadara Award” is now open, announced the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the patronage of Samee Nass, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber.

Local businesses and manufacturers are encouraged to enrol online through the Chamber ’s website, a process open from January 17, 2024, to February 10, 2024.

The “Jadara Award” inaugural edition comprises five distinct categories.

The first category delves into customer loyalty, exploring the strategies employed by businesses to acquire and sustain customer loyalty.

The second category centres around capacity building, highlighting business strategies aimed at developing and enhancing the capabilities of its members.

The third category focuses on reliability and trust, encompassing practices that bolster trust and reliability in the delivery of services and products.

The fourth category is dedicated to digital transformation, covering practices related to digital and electronic transformation, as well as the integration of artificial intelligence to enhance services and operational mechanisms.

The fifth category acknowledges innovation and the quality of food products, recognizing practices that have achieved excellence and quality in the realm of food production.

Waleed Kanoo , the Vice-Treasurer and head of the steering group for the committees, emphasized that the award is designed to motivate Bahraini companies to elevate their performance, competitiveness, and overall growth.

Additionally, it aims to foster the enhancement of production and service quality. Kanoo clarified that registration is open to all small and medium-sized companies across various local commercial and industrial sectors.

General qualification criteria include possessing an active Commercial Registration (C.R), a market presence exceeding three years, and positive financial results over the past three years.

It is noteworthy that companies have the option to submit entries in multiple categories, and the award features financial incentives for the deserving winners.
