Le Meridien, Westin sign agreement supporting ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024

The Executive Organising Committee of the ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024 has signed a cooperation agreement with Le Meridien City Centre Bahrain and The Westin City Centre Bahrain to support the Kingdom’s hosting of the highly anticipated multi-sport event, taking place later this year.
The deal was confirmed in a signing ceremony by Executive Organising Committee member Mohammed Abdulhakim Al Mutawa and Le Meridien City Centre Bahrain and The Westin City Centre Bahrain Director Yazan Al Hayek.
Al Mutawa expressed his delight in establishing the agreement and pointed out the importance of strengthening local partnerships in order to develop and support sporting and educational events for youth. He also thanked Le Meridien City Centre Bahrain and The Westin City Centre Bahrain for backing the ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024, which is a major global event for the country, being held under the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
For his part, Al Hayek said he was pleased to be supporting ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024, and stressed that Le Meridien City Centre Bahrain and The Westin City Centre Bahrain are committed to providing the best services and accommodation requirements for the participants and visitors.
He added that he hopes the partnership will be a further step towards promoting sports tourism in the Kingdom of Bahrain, thus consolidating its position as a global sporting destination. The ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024 is expected to attract thousands of students, coaches, fans, and media from 80 countries all over the world.
While being a mega event for sports, it will also be an opportunity to learn about different cultures. The ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024 is set to be held over a period of 10 days in October. Twenty-five different sports will be showcased in the event, among which include athletics, swimming, gymnastics, basketball, boxing, taekwondo, karate, judo, table tennis, badminton, ground tennis, handball, volleyball, dancing, chess, javelin throwing, darts and paralympic games.
Fourteen sites across Bahrain have been allocated as venues for games as well as for special programmes that will be held for the participants.
