Al Rashid Group, Social Development Ministry celebrate World Cancer Day

In a heartwarming display of community spirit and support, Al Rashid Group and the Ministry of Social Development joined forces to celebrate World Cancer Day with a special event for young heroes and fighters – children battling cancer between the ages of 6 and 14.

On 27 January 2024, 40 children were treated to a day of joy and unforgettable memories at Oasis Mall Juffair. The day began with an exciting shopping spree at Centrepoint, where the children had the chance to choose their favorite clothes, toys, and games.

The smiles on their faces were truly heartwarming as they picked out treasures that brought them pure delight. After their shopping spree, the children were whisked away to Funcity, a vibrant entertainment center brimming with exhilarating rides, games, and activities.

The sound of laughter filled the air as the children enjoyed the rides and reveled in the pure joy of play. For these young warriors, it was a chance to forget their struggles and simply be kids having fun.

To complete the perfect day, each child received a delicious snack box from Food Station, providing them with a sweet treat to cap off their adventure. “Seeing the joy on these children’s faces was truly inspiring,” said Mr. Sandeep Narain, Territory Head of Al Rashid Group.

“We are honored to partner with the Ministry of Social Development in bringing a little bit of happiness to these young heroes and fighters. We believe that even in the face of adversity, moments of joy and laughter can make a world of difference.”
