The Isuzu MU-X successfully completed a grueling “One Tank Challenge” from Jeddah City in Saudi Arabia to Bahrain, covering an impressive 1,421 kilometers on a single tank of fuel.

The journey, costing only around BD9 (SAR90), showcased the remarkable fuel efficiency and durability of the latest MU-X model. Starting with a full 80-liter tank, the MU-X embarked on its remarkable journey on Sunday, defying doubts and exceeding expectations.

Ahmad Alshehri, the Saudi driver behind the wheel, expressed his initial uncertainty and ultimate excitement. “At first, we weren’t sure it was possible, but we did it! We could have even gone another 100 kilometers with the remaining fuel. This was a fantastic challenge, with only two mountains to conquer throughout the nearly 2-day journey.”

“We conducted a similar challenge in 2019, but this year, we raised the bar with a new distance and goal. Our aim is to exceed customer expectations by providing them with the best possible vehicles.”Abdulrahman Alotaibi, Research and Development Analyst at Mitsubishi Corporation Service Office told The Daily Tribune. Arun Kumar Ganesh, General Manager, Commercial Vehicles at Motor City, highlighted the impact of this achievement.

“This incredible feat, powered by 30+ years of Isuzu technological advancements, solidifies our commitment to customer satisfaction. This step further cements our position as a top contender in the market, solidifying the brand’s reputation for reliability.”

Isuzu MU-X has a new engine, the 4JJ3-TCX, which packs a powerful punch with 190 horsepower. That means it’s even faster and smoother to drive, whether you’re on the highway or exploring rough roads.
