Tamkeen supports over 4,500 Bahrainis

Tamkeen has facilitated the employment of more than 4,500 Bahrainis, marking a 35% achievement of its employment support target.

This was announced during a meeting of Tamkeen’s Board of Directors presided over by Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Educational Charitable Trust, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen).

Announcing the details, Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, also revealed that Tamkeen’s career development programmes supported more than 4,300 Bahrainis.

Amidst discussions on Tamkeen's strategic objectives for 2024, it was revealed that 2,800 enterprises and projects across diverse sectors had received support, with SMEs constituting 55% of the beneficiaries.

This support, aimed at bolstering business endeavours and fostering job growth, underscores Tamkeen’s commitment to enhancing Bahrain’s economic landscape. Shaikh Isa underscored the importance of continuing efforts to implement programmes and initiatives that create further quality opportunities for Bahrainis, particularly in terms of training, employment, and career development.

The meeting also saw a review of key achievements in supporting employment, career development, and private sector enterprises during the first quarter of the year, alongside the sharing of success stories from Bahrain-based businesses. Furthermore, plans were outlined to amplify the impact of support programs in alignment with Tamkeen's strategic goals for 2024.
