ASRY welcomes delegation from ONEX Shipyards

The Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY) welcomed a delegation from the executive management of ONEX Shipyards, a Greek-American shipbuilding and repair company headquartered in Athens, Greece.

The meeting was attended by ASRY Chairman, Aymen bin Tawfeeq Almoayed, ASRY Deputy CEO Shaikh Mohamed bin Rashed Al Khalifa, and Panos Xenokostas, President and CEO of ONEX Group, in addition to several representatives of the executive management of both companies.

Discussion centered on ship repair activities, marine asset optimization and the application of modern technologies in the field.

This collaboration aimed to unlock new business opportunities, bolster Bahrain’s international trade ties, and enhance its competitive edge in global markets.

During the visit, ASRY Business Development Manager, Mohamed Sultan, gave a presentation on the company’s history and its stages of development.

This was followed by a tour of ASRY’s facilities and docks, which showcased the company’s world-class capabilities, accumulated over the past 46 years, cementing its position as the leading yard of choice.
