Yes, we have to try that!

The British School of Bahrain on Saturday provided an opportunity for  teachers and practitioners to develop their understanding on how to deliver outstanding practice in the early years of education.

Ruth Moore, an education consultant from the UK who specialises in Early Education (from birth till 8) worked with the school for the whole week to develop an understanding on the subject. The course focused on looking at our learning environment, ensuring we are providing our children the best possible opportunities for learning, and how this impacts the kinds of interactions that happen between the adults and children in the class.

Through use of examples and discussion, the Saturday group were able to reflect on their own practice and consider ways to increase their children’s level of engagement in the classroom. There were many deep discussions and moments of, “We have to try that!” in the room.

Ruth has worked with a number of schools in the North London area of the UK who have consistently gained an ‘Outstanding’ grade from OFSTED.
